Room 21 Learns to use Imagery in Numeracy

On Friday the 30^th September kiara and Ariana, news team, went to room 21 to find news about the hard work going on around our school. We caught Room21 doing maths, they were putting the biggest numbers in their head, instead of using counters (imagery). They were very brave to answer such hard equations like 7+8, 13-6, and 6+7.Brooklyn Manuel said, “Maths is fun.”                            

Bing George thinks that maths is cool too.                                 

 

Floating and Sinking

Topic: Floating and Sinking
We put a golf ball in the water I thought it would sink because it has no air and it was heavy and it did sink and we put a stick in the water I thought it would float because it has air in it and it did float.

A visit to Butterfly Creek

On Tuesday I went to the Butterfly Creek with Room 21. I enjoyed going to the farm and I saw a rabbit and a dog. I enjoyed patting the dog and rabbit. I learnt that some butterflies are poisonous and that butterflies cover their wings to make themselves warm.
