Kelvin Rd Early Learning Centre - vacancies

Monday – Thursday, Morning sessions 8.30 am – 11.30 pm
Afternoon sessions 12.30 pm – 3.30 pm
Friday’s 4 year old session only, 8.30am – 2pm.

Also, we have the South Auckland Vision Screening team here on Friday 14th August, this is for vision screening of 3 & 4 year olds. The ladies will be on site from 1 – 2 pm.
Pre-school is GREAT for Kids!!!

Attendance At school = jobs in the future. Help your child by ensuring they are at school regularly!!





Teacher Only Day—Teachers will be working on the revised New Zealand Curriculum for implementation for our children.
Please note that school is closed on this day (Monday 24th
August)
as are Mansell Intermediate and Rosehill Intermediate.

Breakfast
It is important for all, especially children, to have a breakfast. Sometimes that might not happen due to various
circumstances—we have some limited supplies of muesli bars/fruit that we can offer on these occasions. Your child should simply, quietly, and in confidence, ask their teacher.

Walk the dog, Visit people (and walk there!), Go fruit picking,

Join a scout/girl guide group


Fruit in School
As you may already know the children receive a piece of fruit each morning in class. We are seeking parents, grandparents or other family members to help with the daily task of preparing the fruit each morning. You would only need to be available for approximately an hour.

Upcoming Events:
· Fresh Futures Duathlon: Saturday 12th September
Massey Park 9.00am—2.00pm. For 8-13 year olds which includes a swim in the Massey Park Pools and a bike ride. There are brand new bikes for winners in every category and many games and activities for younger family members.
· Papakura Great Spring Clean: 7th—20th September. Aims to develop projects to help keep the district looking great as summer approaches.
