Room 01 | Visitors from our local Pre School

Every Friday  Room  one  children  enjoy  visits  from  Papakura Learning Centre  Pre school.

Today  Matthew  and  David  created this wonderful farm  and  train  track  using  Duplo.

We   were  all  very  impressed.

Corduroy the Bear

We listened to the story about Corduroy the bear. Jahnaya made all the characters out of playdough.

A Shared Story

A  SHARED  STORY  WRITTEN   BY  ROOM  1.

Mrs  Trafford  brought  five tadpoles  to  school.  We  looked  at them  everyday  and watched  them  change  from  tadpoles  to  frogs.  They  grew  legs  and  their  body  shape  and   colour  changed.  One  night  while  we  were  sleeping  out  jumped  the  frog and  off he  went  to  find  a  pond!  Luckily  the  next  day  we  found  him  jumping  around  our  classroom  and  returned  him  to  the aquarium.  He  is  safe  now  with  his  friend   because  Mrs  Trafford  put  a  cover on  the  aquarium.

On the left Isaiah is practising his writing of words. On the right is Sohill and he is matching his words. The work is Room 1 never stops. These children are learning to read and write words today, but next week it will be chapter books!
