To Parents & Caregivers of children new to Kelvin Road School

Welcome,
Dear Parents / Caregivers,

Greetings, Kia ora, Talofa lava, Malo e lelei, Fakaalofa lahi atu, Kia orana.

Welcome to Parents / Caregivers of children new to Kelvin Road
School.

Your child is attending a school that encourages promoting success for all of our students.

We work hard at providing excellent programmes of learning for your children from Y0-6 ( Y0 -8 immersion / bilingual).

Teachers and senior management team at Kelvin Road School proactively seek and value the input of students, staff and parents. We aim to build meaningful relationships with our community. We look for opportunities to build partnerships that will benefit your children's learning.

This may include your attendance at home-school partnership meetings, interviews and Meet The Teacher evenings, involvement in sharing your skills and knowledge (including cultural knowledge) in the classrooms, and supporting your child to complete homework activities.

We want all of our children to strive and achieve success and to be the very best they can be. Kia toa ….. kia manwanui !

We try to make the school a place that is safe and happy. A place where your child wants to come to learn and to develop the social skills and the competencies they will need for success.

Kelvin Road is YOUR school. It is here for YOUR children. By working together in partnership we will succeed.

Life can sometimes bring problems and challenges. It’s how we deal with them that is important. Small problems can grow into huge problems unless they are attended to early. So if you have any concerns about your child's learning and their school life please come along and talk about it. We will listen and try to accommodate your needs/ desires.

All the best for a happy and successful year.
