Constable Ruth And Constable Jason Join Us For Book Week

Today, both the senior and junior school had the opportunitity of listening to Ruth and Jason from the Papakura police read their favourite stories. They both enjoy reading in their spare time. Jason believed that reading gave him knowledge to help him do his job and stopped his brain from turning into mush.

Book Week Starts With A Bang!

Book Week started with a speacial guest, Niva Retimanu, from Newtalk ZB. She loves to read and came to Kelvin Road School to read one of her favourite stories, Kiss! Kiss! Yuck! Yuck! Niva has presented the news for many years and has a fantastic reading voice. Although she can not make it to Friday's book week parade, she does enjoy dressing up in costume at work. Niva's advice was, "read lots and you will achieve."

Thank you, Niva Retimanu
